The in charge during spine boarding should be the leader as he has the authority to give commands. The leader, under whom the athlete who has got injured is the main in charge here. As the head of the injured athlete should be held properly during the whole process, the leader should take the charge and hold the head with both of his hands. The leader can be an EMT or the trainer of the athlete and must have proper training and knowledge about the process.
